LAS VEGAS(AP) Wink Adams scored 21 points and UNLV used a strong first half to beat TCU 71-57 Tuesday.


Joe Darger added 14 points, six rebounds, and four steals for the Rebels (18-6, 6-4 Mountain West Conference), who used a 23-3 run in the first half to overcome an early 10-point deficit.


UNLV, coming off two straight overtime losses, shot 50 percent from the floor and forced 26 turnovers. The Rebels led 40-31 at halftime.


Ronnie Moss led the Horned Frogs (13-11, 4-6) with 15 points and six rebounds. Edvinas Ruzgas added 13 points.
