OK niced one, just what S.U. needs is a little more negative publicity given Devendorf's incident. NO wonder they have the reputation for playing "Street thugs" Too bad for S.U. is a fine academic institution with a storied athletic history.

not the first time Auriemma has had an incident, he is a great coach but an immature jackass of a human being. He loves rubbing peoples' faces in defeat. Cocky SOB who would get run over in the men's game.

Another coach who runs up scores to get off. There is no reason to beat a team by over 50. Theres a reason a guy coaches women, he needs to be in charge and feel like a tough guy. What a real loser as a man he must be.

And there is no reason for a team to lose by fifty. Seems like the only thing their coach teaches is tripping the opposition? Geno has his players keep up their intensity to keep them at their best. Having pity on those who can't keep up isn't his style. If you don't come to play then don't come.

Prior to the game vs Syracuse "UConn coach Geno Auriemma commended Hillsman for instilling in his players the belief that the Orange can come into the XL Center and take down the top-ranked Huskies. Auriemma believes that this is the stance every team should take, especially against a conference foe. It's just that in women's basketball, it isn't often that an underdog takes aim at the Huskies." - quote from CT paper

When the Syracuse team realized they couldn't accomplish what they boasted, they instead decided to become very physical and elbow, throw down or otherwise attempt to hurt the UCONN players instead of concentrating on playing the game! If you saw the game you know what I'm saying is true! The refs were aware of what was going on and elected to ignore the obvious - so typical! When Geno (a very caring coach) challenged a "throw down", he was given a technical which is pretty wild since Quentin was having tantrums on their side-line the whole game but avoided a technical - I know not how!?

A Syracuse player did receive a technical after a clear elbow was thrown but that didn't stop their behavior. Geno kept looking over to the Syracuse bench trying to make contact with their coach to find out "why" they were playing so dirty but Quentin ignored him. 99% of the time Geno pulls his starters but he elected to continue to let Syracuse "take UCONN down" but it wasn't happening; even I grew concerned for our players staying in play fortunately avoiding any severe damage - other than Doty.

The game over the usual clap of hands of both teams (including the coaches) proceeded but UCONNers found some of the players avoided doing so; in passing Michael made a negative comment of some sort to Geno refusing to clap hands; Geno said something (both you and I have absolutely no idea what was said so we can't judge either of them for this) BUT . . . . it went even rediculously further when heading back towards their locker room Ms Michael put her foot out and tripped Geno - clearly smiling with glee after performing this act! Yeah, Coach couldn't belive what happened and wanted to say something but was pulled away toward the locker room.

The above nasty stuff said about Geno is so far fetched and obviously made by ill-informed or self centered individuals who refuse to see or deal with the facts as clearly stated. I feel sorry for these individuals as they would rather spew hatred than take part in a challenging game for women.

Thats fine well beat by 100 next season lol!!!!!!! You just brought a whole world of hurt on your team ( Syracuse) and MR. Pat Summit got some news for you if you meet up with connecticut in the tourny there will be no miracle. I can guarantee that LOL
