Las Vegas is, by all accounts the single best place to watch the NCAA men's basketball tournament in it's entirety. The individual games, of course, are much better viewed at the arena themselves, but if you want to catch every single round and every single game, Las Vegas is the ticket.

Which probably explains why FOX Sports is sending Billy Packer and Bob Knight to Sin City for a little analysis once the NCAA tournament kicks off. Except for that whole part about college athletics supposedly not embracing anything to do with gambling.
Packer told reporters on Monday that the show wouldn't mention gambling even though it is to be filmed at the race and sports book at the Wynn Las Vegas.

Packer says he wanted the shows to be part of the experience of watching games in Las Vegas, which he says ranks second to watching games from courtside.

The programs are expected to begin March 15 and air on Fox Sports Net.
I guess that's cool that they won't talk gambling, but personally, I'd freaking love to hear the full deets on what people are taking, how the lines are moving, etc., throughout the first and second weekends of the tournament.

But kudos to FOX, Packer and Knight if they can make it through 72 hours a week, sitting at the Wynn in Las Vegas without talking about gambling. I'd be willing to, um, bet that they can't.
