Something of a stunner as Cleveland State upset Syracuse 72-69 on a 60-foot shot at the buzzer. On it's face, this seems like a big upset, but it has been a couple games in the making for the Orange. Syracuse has been inconsistent and sloppy. They struggled to deal with Cornell. They let Long Beach State hang around for a half. It came back to bite them this time.
They were tied at the half with Syracuse and it looked like OT tied at 69. Instead, guard Cedric Jackson who had been 4-12 and 0-4 on threes took the inbound pass and let it fly as time expired and it was good.
Cleveland State is actually a decent team. They were the preseason pick for the Horizon League, but started poorly. Struggling to take care of Oakland and losing to Washington and Kent Kansas State. Then they failed to take care of division rival Butler in Cleveland, when they allowed a three at the buzzer to lose 50-48.
For Cleveland State, the Carrier Dome is a happy place. It was the first time they played Syracuse there, but they have been in Syracuse before. In the 1986 NCAA Tournament, the Vikings went to the Carrier Dome and beat Indiana and St. Joe's in the opening rounds. Now Cleveland State goes to 3-0 at the Carrier Dome.

maybe u know something we don't know considering Csu hasn't played kent yet. What I do know, however, is that Cleveland state beat Oakland. The Vikings, who will soon have one of the top programs in the whole country as things are rapidly falling into place, have lost to Kansas state, washington, west virginia, and got robbed by butler. Just a tad bit of fact checking would have been nice.

Sorry, my bad. I meant Kansas St. and typed Kent. Thanks for catching that.
