Kentucky's Harris Released From Hospital After Colliding With a Teammate

Sorry for the grainy video footage but it's all I have. In it you will see Kentucky's Ramon Harris and Michael Porter bonk heads, as my wife would say.

As you can see, it was a freak thing. There was a loose ball with both Kentucky and Lamar players fighting for it. While you may expect the collision to happen during the scramble, it actually happened several feet away from the ball. Harris and Porter were next to each other when Harris turned to head up court. When he turned, he ran right into Porter.

Porter received 10 stitches in the locker room and didn't return to the game. He will be okay. Harris had trouble getting up after the collision and was taken out on a stretcher. The good news is that he's been released from the UK Chandler hospital after tests were run to see if he had any spine or back damage. He is now listed as day-to-day.

Kentucky won the game, 103-61.
