What is that old saying? "It is better to be lucky than good?" The Xavier Musketeers will take that today as they needed a half court shot to beat Virginia Tech, 63-62, in the semifinals of the O'Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Tip Off today.
As you can see in the video above, Tech took the lead on a tip in with three seconds left in overtime. The Muskies' Dante Jackson took the inbounds pass, dribbled once and launched a desperation three at the half court stripe.
That was Jackson's only field goal of the game and came after he missed all eight previous attempts.
Xavier will go on to face Memphis in the title game of the Puerto Rico Tip Off tomorrow.

That hurt bad. Will probably cost the hokies the NCAA tourney. You'll see Virginia Tech Jerseys at the NIT.
