CBS's Sportsline.com has already begun their countdown to North Carolina-Duke. Literally.
On CBS's college basketball page, they already have an actual countdown for the renewal of college basketball's greatest rivalry on February 11th. As I type this, there are 90 days, 15 hours and 40 minutes until tip off.
Here's the kicker: CBS isn't even televising the game. ESPN is.
This is insane. I'm a Tar Heel fan who has known the date of the game since the moment it was announced yet I feel this is overkill. It is also rather ridiculous to point to one regular season game to wait for and by-pass all the great matchups before then. There will be plenty of time to hype up the game when the time comes. Maybe CBS can hype up some other games until then.
Especially the ones that may actually be shown on CBS.
