That was Mink, now a player for the Roane State Raiders.
Mink says he was shooting baskets in his driveway when it occurred to him that it wasn't too late to finish up his college basketball eligibility:
"I had been knocking down shot after shot, so when I came in the house I told my wife, 'I've still got it,' " said Mink, a 73-year-old semi-retired journalist. "She said, 'You've got what?' I said, 'I can still play.' "Said Roane State coach Randy Nesbit, "Our weakness last year was experience; I think I've taken care of that.''
And Mink assures Nesbit has nothing to worry about regarding the whole shaving cream in the office thing: Mink says he was wrongly accused.

The coach at Lees Junior College in 1956 who suffered the wrath of Mink's shaving cream? None other than Greg Oden.
Bravo and Hallelujah! As a 75-year old rollerblading crone - 2 hrs. a day usually - I nearly busted my heel brake for joy reading about the indomitable Ken Mink. Our generation needs more like him, and despite all the little journalistic digs about metamucil and walkers, clearly Ken is a role model for all of us, any age. He is proof that the human body is a marvelous machine, but like all machines, must be treated with care. Keep it rollin' Dude!
I just saw him on Late Night With Conan O'Brien - What an incredible story. He seems like a genuinely nice guy, and still has a great enthusiasm for life - good for him.
