The way the games have been this weekend, there better be a heck of a pay-off next Saturday with (likely) all the top teams facing each other. Right now, it hardly seems worth it. There have been moments this weekend where the games have gotten good -- Louisville tying UNC in the second half and Stanford's nice run at Texas come to mind -- but the overall games have hardly been riveting. Instead I find myself grateful for the bourbon by my laptop, then the games themselves. Wait, that came out wrong.
Right now Memphis is controlling the game against Texas, as they lead 39-28 at the half. The game started with promise, but now has the feel of the Louisville-UNC game from last night. One team dictating tempo, style and ultimately in control, no matter the score.
I am just hoping Davidson can continue to shock. Who knows? After all, Gus Johnson will be calling the Davidson-Kansas game.

Truthfully, the wide discrepancy in scores showed a
poor level of competition. Prevoius games were closer and entertainng. Yhe semi and finals could be a yawners! Memphis appear talented. Control one guy and U have NC by the jewels. UCLA - Which team will show up? Xavier or W. kentucky. Mbah a Moute
is a tribesman. Shipp has to come IN. Love/Collison
must make a market. HOWLAND learns (3rd trip).

Ten minutes to go. Davidson leads Kansas 46 - 45.
Problem: Kansas can score inside but doesn't seem to know it! Davidson can score from anywhere with Curry. D. is not brutal for either team. Neither team may see the final!

Two minutes: Davidson 53 (Curry missed x 3) Kan. 57.
I think the game momentum is to Kansas. Repetitives
hurried shots by D. are not falling! WHOOPS! Curry
has made it a two point deficit. David will get the ball back with 19 seconds left - down by 2 points!
Curry is cold! Go inside for the two, at least, maybe a foul. We'll see! It's over: Kansas covered, smothered Curry. Good, competitive game. K. 59 D. 57
NC Vs. Kansas: No problem. Memphis Vs. NC = Memphis

Memphis Vs. NCS for final.
HOWEVER, If one Memphis regular is injured or has a poor game, UCLA will beat them by a "tongue." It will be a great game for NCAA $$, T.V. conglomerates.
Players get food and board. Yeh! Imagine! The top knocks at our educational universities are running this shameful scam. Pay the poor players - cash!
