Interviewer Wishes Seton Hall Coach 'Continued Good Sex in the Big East'

We all have slips of the tongue at times, but announcer Jim Spanarkel, speaking with Seton Hall coach Bobby Gonzalez commits a rather bad one:

It sounds like a typical post-game interview, as Gonzalez says about Seton Hall's fans, "The emotion, the energy, the buzz in the building, just spectacular, they were our sixth man, and it really was a special, special win for them."

And then Spanarkel says, "Congratulations. Continued good sex in the -- ugh, sex -- in the Big East." He was trying to say "success," but he never did quite manage to say it.

Many years ago, a BBC children's story narrator messed up the words "tight shut" and garbled them into every possible no-no as he tried to correct himself. His final, despairing words were "Oh sh*t" as they cut him off the air.

What's funny isn't the "sex" comment, it is the fact that the neither the coach or other broadcasters said anything. The coach responded as if he hadn't been listening at all (probably true) and when they sent it back up to the booth, nothing. Normally the reporters poke fun at eachother. That was a prime laugh moment, but nothing
