Greg Little, a freshman wide receiver who ended up at running back for the UNC football team, is trying out for the #1 Tar Heels hoops squad. Little, who is 6'3 and wearing #4 in the video above, was a football, basketball and track star in high school and wants a shot at some sort of glory with Roy Williams' squad.
"He can't come close to catching up for at least three weeks, and at the end of that three-week period, we'll make a decision whether it's good for him to continue or not," Williams said Friday.
"We have 16 variations of secondary break; he has zero,'' Williams said. "And yesterday, it was so funny, everybody on the blue team was trying to help him, and he was so confused he could put on a helmet and not know which was to look out. Again, he has no hope until he learns what's going on, and that's going to take quite a while. He's got wonderful athleticism, and he's a wonderful kid. He has some speed and quickness, and we'll just wait and see."
Little wants to become the next football/basketball star at Carolina. Both Julius Peppers and Ronald Curry (both now in the NFL) were big contributors on both teams. Peppers, along with the Eagles Donovan McNabb, are the only people to play in a Super Bowl and on a Final Four team (Peppers is the only one to play in both events). The last Tar Heels to attempt the feat were Jesse Holley and Brooks Foster, who were bench warmers on the 2005 National Championship team.

This just proves how much of an egotistical douche Roy Williams really is. If he didn't have Dean Smith's hand up his puppet hole, there's no telling how hostile he would be towards the football program.

What does that even mean? Where in what he said was he hostile towards the football team? If anything I would think him allowing a football player to walk on would be showing his ability to work with the football team. If you knew ANYTHING about UNC athletics, which you obviously know nothing, then you would know that Roy Williams is super supportive of Butch Davis and the football program. As a matter of fact Butch Davis and Roy Williams are constantly in touch and working together on things in the athletics program at UNC. You obviously did not HEAR the press conference from which these quotes are taken, and therefore you have no clue as to the light hearted, joking manner with which Willaims is speaking. I'm sorry you're and ignorant douche who is obviously upset that Willaims isn't coaching your team, because you know he is the best. Soooo, get your facts straight, learn how to read, and come back next time.
