Looking At the Villanova Wildcats 2007-08 Hoops Schedule

The Big East has released the 2007-08 schedules for the 16 member schools. This year, all teams play each other once and there three home-and-homes in an 18-game conference schedule. All the schedules can be found here.

Toughest Non-Conference Games: LSU and at St. Joe's

Big East Home-and-Homes: Pitt, Syracuse and DePaul.

Toughest Stretch: While the Big East didn't do 'Nova many favors with the home-and-home teams, they did keep the schedule from being too loaded at any one point. The closest thing to the rough stretch comes at the end of January through the first couple weeks of February. Notre Dame, at Pittsburgh, Syracuse, at St. Joe's, Seton Hall and at Georgetown. The Pitt, Syracuse, St. Joe's stretch will be the roughest since the three games take place in only six days.

Biggest Game: February 4, at St. Joe's. Part of the Big 5, and probably the only two teams likely to make the NCAA Tournament. This game comes right after games with Pitt and Syracuse in Big East play with little time in between. A local rivalry game with what has a good chance of being a rather worn down Wildcat squad.
