Looking At the UConn Huskies 2007-08 Hoops Schedule

The Big East has released the 2007-08 schedules for the 16 member schools. This year, all teams play each other once and there three home-and-homes in an 18-game conference schedule. All the schedules can be found here.

Toughest Non-Conference Games: Gonzaga, Georgia Tech and at Indiana.

Big East Home-and-Homes: Cincinnati, Providence and Notre Dame.

Toughest Stretch: Their gauntlet actually has them home for a majority of the time, but it is still a lot of good teams to face. Starting on January 26 where they have to go play Indiana. Then they come home to Louisville and then Pitt. After that, a visit to Syracuse and returning home to play Georgia Tech and finally Notre Dame on February 13.

Biggest Game: January 5, at Notre Dame. Last year, the UConn Huskies cruised through their non-con of cupcakes and cream-puffs. Then the conference schedule began with a trip to West Virginia and the Huskies fell apart in their first tough road game. They never recovered their confidence after that and staggered to their worst season in years. Notre Dame was undefeated at home last season. A major test -- win or lose -- for the psyche of the Huskies.
