The Big East has released the 2007-08 schedules for the 16 member schools. This year, all teams play each other once and there three home-and-homes in an 18-game conference schedule. All the schedules can be found here.Toughest Non-Conference Games: Memphis, at Xavier, at UAB and at NC State.
Big East Home-and-Homes: Pitt, St. John's and UConn.
Toughest Stretch: January is not a kind month for the Bearcats. January 9 February 2 has 8 games. Six of the teams had .500 or better conference records last year. The only good news is that they are home for 5 of them. Syracuse and Villanova start things out. A trip to Notre Dame then two more home games with UConn and Pitt. A road game at Seton Hall and then the biggie at West Virginia coached by some guy named Huggins. After that, it's home and Marquette awaits. 0-8 in that stretch is a distinct possibility.
Biggest Game: December 12, at Xavier. The Skyline Crosstown Shootout. With Cinci's fall from power in college basketball, Xavier has been the top team in town. Mick Cronin pulled the upset last year, and needs to do so again this year to distract Cinci fans from the fact that Bob Huggins is coaching at West Virginia.
