USC guard Gabe Pruitt is gonna deep his feet in. Just a little bit, not too much. He doesn't like it when the water's cold. But ESPN's Bottom Line reports (no story yet, hence no link) the junior guard will enter the NBA Draft, but won't hire an agent, meaning he'll leave the door open to return to school. He should leave that door open pretty wide. Pruitt, who averaged 12.5 points for the Trojans Sweet 16 squad, probably isn't NBA-ready.
Pruitt is a point guard, but seems to play more like a 2-guard. And as a 2-guard who's only 6-4 and can't shoot the way a 2-guard should be able to shoot, I don't think he'll be hiring an agent for about, oh, a year or so.
NBADraft.net has Pruitt going No. 23 to the Bulls in the 2008 Draft. That'll give him some time to get exposure next season with O.J. Mayo around. And another year of college ball will only make him better. Or so the story goes...
