In what can only be described as a "very surprising" change of heart, it appears that Kansas sophomore forward Julian Wright will be entering the NBA draft and hiring an agent. This is certainly a change in tune from the eccentric Wright, who is on pace to graduate from Kansas in only three years and who has long maintained he had no interest in the NBA until that point.
It seems that many close to Wright have seen him projected as high as a top 5 pick in this upcoming draft and have convinced him that he has nothing to gain and everything to lose by sticking around in Lawrence for another season. This will certainly have an effect on the status of other forwards who are weighing their options such as Wright's teammate Brandon Rush and Georgia Tech's Thaddeus Young, as Wright will certainly be drafted ahead of either of them.

Nothing against Julian but he does have something to lose. The fact that they never won a National Championship and he has the label of inconsistent. He is one of my favorite players but watching him explode for 21 against Florida then 6 against Oral Roberts. Go make your millions and throw away everything that could have been.
I agree. Yes his draft stock could drop (see Noah), but I think one more year in college would make him be BETTER in the pros. As of now, he's raw and will continue to be raw in pros. One more year of college refinement would be tremendous for him realizing his potential.
