One of the great things about the NCAA tournament are the stories that get brought out, stories you've never heard before. Plus, how small this world we live in can be. When looking at Eastern Kentucky, UNC really has no reason to hate their first round opponent. Well, until this little story arose.
EKU coach Jeff Neubauer proposed to his wife ... at Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium. Makes me sick! From Charlotte.com:
He was an assistant coach at The Citadel when he proposed at half court after a team shootaround before a game at Duke. He appeared disappointed to be questioned about it Wednesday. "Hopefully the Tar Heels have enough other things to inspire them other than I got engaged at Cameron Indoor," he said.
Ya darn right! When your happiest moment happened inside that cigar box, Heels fans have no love for you. No word if Coach K gave him a pep talk before he did it or if he badgered his soon-to-be wife into changing her call.
