Pac-10 Power Rankings: Herb, You're Outta the Gutter! (But You Can Keep Your Hand There)

Text Size A A A
The last edition before we head into Wednesday's Pac-10 Tournament. The shape of the Pac-10 has stayed pretty much the same all year, but some last-minute shake ups could mean more later this week.

1. UCLA - Expected the split in Washington, but thought it would be the Cougs who did the upsetting. UCLA, after offensive woes against a terrible Washington D, needs to find answers on offensive end sooner rather than later.
2. Washington State - Nearly swept at home, Cougs need to hit mid-season form and peak again.
3. Oregon - Beating the hell out of Oregon State isn't exactly a resumé-builder these days.
4. Arizona - Gonna be a real dangerous 7-10 seed.
5. USC - And just when you think USC is gonna make a run...
6. Washington - Inexcusable loss at Oregon State outweighs good wins over LA schools last week.
7. Stanford - "What's that? We're on the bubble? We totally beat Virginia!" And now have double-digit losses.
8. Cal - Hey, heard the football recruiting class was pretty good.
9. Arizona State - Not at the bottom anymore. Two wins feels like 10 for Herb Sendek. That might not be true. Two wins probably feels like a kick in the groin.
10. Oregon State - And the Beavers have a National Championship to defend. In baseball.
