Kansas Ekes Out 53-Point Win Over Nebraska

The score doesn't always tell the whole story, but today's Kansas-Nebraska score really does: 92-39. Yeah, that pretty well tells the story.

More importantly, it serves as a reminder of just how ridiculously good this Kansas team can be when it's actually firing on all cylinders. Nebraska isn't a great team, but the Huskers are pretty good. Certainly not a team that should be losing by 53 to anybody. That margin was the second-largest margin of victory in Big 12 conference history. It's also the first time in 23 years Nebraska was held under 40 points.

Kansas coach Bill Self said all the right things after the game: "This isn't a true indication of them at all. Or us," Self said. That's true, of course -- it's not like Kansas is really 53 points better than Nebraska. But Kansas is plenty good.
