Notre Dame guard Kyle McAlarney may miss Notre Dame's next game against Stony Brook because he likes to get stoned. He does the same thing before games against High Point, the Dartmouth Big Green, and the UAB Blazers, too. McAlarney, Notre Dame's starting two guard, had some marijuana in his car at a traffic stop a few blocks from the Notre Dame campus very early Friday morning. He was taken to jail, booked, and released on bond. He couldn't be found for comment, and Notre Dame's SID also declined comment. Touchdown Jesus, Rudy, and Regis Philbin are all said to be very disappointed.
Notre Dame doesn't really need this. Things had been going swimmingly for them, and McAlarney, shown above wearing his preferred green uniform, is an important player for them. He's second on the team in minutes per game, he's averaging 10.3 points per game, and is one of Notre Dame's most reliable shooters.

he is a complete dumbass and needs to get slapped by coach brey...if he wants to go hang with dennis rodman thats cool but he doesnt need to be a part of the nd bball team..he will only bring them down..i cant wait to see how tory jackson ,the 5-11 fresman from Saginaw, MI, does these next few games
YOur an idiot ( last comment ) tory will evenautlly be good but not this year and not as good as kyle, Kyle runs the team so good and rarely turns the ball, the difference between kyle and tory is 3 or 4 games losing without kyle we need him down the stretch when teams pressure the ball, he made a mistake and he definitly deserves another chance
Kyle needs another chance. Everybody makes mistakes in life. He needs to be suspended for 15 games. I think that that is a good punishment. I think he should also do a ton of community service. I think that Notre Dame needs him badly. They will stink without him. If you read this Mike Brey please don't kick him off the team.
They're getting by now but they need McAlarney if they want to contend seriously.

The guy smoked a little dope. The reefer-madness hysteria in this country is out of control. I've known many responsible, hard-working, highly effective people who smoke pot. I myself graduated from Notre Dame with honors while using on occaision. I'm currently successful in a highly technical field and smoke 2-3 times a week (evenings and some weekends). I've known an emergency room doctor, firemen, academics, computer scientists and manual laborers who are all very effective at their jobs while also partaking on occasion. No, you can't do it all the time. Nor can you be effective and drink booze all the time. Kyle only screwed up in the sense that he violated team rules. He should be punished on principle, but the rule shouldn't be there or the punishment should be far less severe.
